This unique holiday offers the most beautiful rural landscapes, forest produce and a peaceful atmosphere. During three days you will get to know the local culture and the experiences offered by nature. Stay in a century-old courtyard, where you can enjoy locally produced food and participate in various cultural and nature experiences.
Day 1
Arrival at the rural route: Orivesi – Juupajoki – Ruovesi. On the way you can admire beautiful sites such as Kallenaukio, Siikaneva, Kautunvuolle and Ruovesi church village. Towards Pohjaslahti along the route Syvinkisalmi and Salussärkkä – the most beautiful landscapes in Häme!
Arrival and accommodation in Vehkaniemi, where you can enjoy art and handicraft exhibitions. Concerts and other events in the summer. A-rights in the art café.
Lunch in Vehkaniemi by separate order, unless you have a snack on your own on the way.
Experiential accommodation under centuries-old logs, in a special accommodation facility that exudes responsibility and tradition, where all facilities have been adapted to existing old facilities.
In the afternoon, a nature trip and the Palellus observation tower. Picking wild herbs, wild berries or mushrooms depending on the season.
Dinner with local, organic food: tomato and chanterelle roast, spinach pasta, baked salmon or smoked fish.
Sauna on the shore and swimming in the lake. A real wood-fired stove provides a good sauna!
Day 2
A hearty country breakfast.
A bike or car trip around Lake Vehkajärvi. On the way, you can stop by the Kangaskoski Mill Museum and Rantalansärkä, and you will get to know the many different destinations in the Pohjaslahti village oasis.
Self-made lunch in the village or lunch in Vehkaniemi by separate order.
Nature hike in the nearby forest 4.5 km.
Dinner by the campfire on the shore: grilled sausage, nettle pancakes and nettle coffee/homemade juice.

Day 3
After breakfast, you can continue your journey to nearby destinations such as Ruovesi, Virrat, Haapamäki-Keuruu, Mänttä or Vilppula. You can also stay for a few more days to enjoy the peace of nature!
