Vehkaniemi Farm is located in a scenic location on the shores of Lake Vehkajärvi, in the art city of Mänttä-Vilppula in Pohjaslahti village, Northern Pirkanmaa.
FRAGMENTED WATERS AND UNDULATING LANDSCAPES
The surrounding nature offers many opportunities for hiking. Signs of the ice period are visible in moraine ridges, roaches, boulders in the terrain, and beautiful long-form rocky lakes. Such rugged landscapes in northern Pirkanmaa and the fragmented lake areas of Inner Finland have attracted many artists over time and even more so. The rolling hills are comfortable to hike and offer beautiful views over the village and lakes.
NATURE AND CULTURE
Salussärkkä, Finland's second largest ridge landscape, also called the Minor Punkaharju, is located nearby. From there, the distance to Lake Helvetinjärvi National Park in Ruovesi is not very long either. Mänttä, in the other direction, has many cultural sites, such as the Serlachius Museum Gösta and its Pavilion and Mänttä Fine Arts Weeks - Finlands most important New Modern Art Festival - to visit.
